Fighting for the rights of injured and disabled workers in the Bronx, Brooklyn, Staten Island, Long Island, Manhattan, Queens and Westchester County.
While our economy is decreasingly industrialized and increasingly service based, the working man and woman is no less subject to the debilitating and health-destroying hazards of the workplace.
As the New York Times, the Wall Street Journal, Crain’s Business Week, Newsweek and many other publications report, hundreds of thousands of white collar and blue collar workers are being felled by Carpal Tunnel Syndrome, a painful and crippling disorder of the hand and fingers. The attorneys of The Klein Law Group, P.C. have extensive experience in securing benefits for this debilitating condition. Call for a free consultation: 917-639-5350.
Carpal Tunnel Syndrome
Carpal Tunnel Syndrome is often caused by the repetitive motions of the fingers and hand working hour after hour at the typewriter or computer keyboard, by meat cutting and wrapping, by high speed assembly-line work, and any other activity where the hand and fingers are employed in repetitive motions for extended periods of time.
A common misunderstanding about Workers’ Compensation is that it is only for those people who have had accidents. Nothing could be farther from the truth, and work-related Carpal Tunnel Syndrome is a perfect example. Any medical problem may be compensable if it can be medically linked to repetitive motions caused or necessitated by one’s job that over the course of time cause or contribute to the medical problem. The benefits under workers’ compensation are the same, regardless of the circumstance creating your causally related condition.
Carpal Tunnel Syndrome may result in Social Security Disability benefits as well as Workers’ Compensation benefits.
