On Tuesday, January 12, firm partner David Klein taught a Zoom class in Workers’ Compensation and Personal Injury to a number of lawyers who work for TakeRoot Justice. TakeRoot provides legal, participatory research and policy support to strengthen the work of grassroots and community-based groups in New York City to dismantle racial, economic and social oppression.
“I was honored to be asked to teach the class, and it was a great experience, David said. “TakeRoot’s lawyers had great questions, and were deeply curious about how to protect injured men and women, as much as they expressed genuine commitment to the cause of education and outreach.”
During the pandemic, David has also presented multiple video classes on workplace safety, focusing in particular on workers’ compensation and COVID-19, sponsored by La Colmena – Community Job Center.
